Piggy Polish: Blue-ming Romance & Wet n Wild: Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire

That is a mouthful and a half. LOL Good news, everybody! Switching browsers did not fix my disappearing comments problem, but switching computers did. As far as I could tell last night my comments should be showing up on your blogs now as long as I fire up the laptop to do it. Yay! I know I love hearing from each of you and it would break my heart if your comments didn't show up after you went through the trouble to post them, so I'm glad that's taken care of for your sake in case you feel the same way. *hearts*

More good news! I picked up Blue-ming Romance because it was so cheap on clearance, but I was a bit hesitant to actually use it in case it was as sheer as Poet-tree. The good news? It's not!

Two coats. Very smooth. It was taking a bit longer to dry than I was willing to wait so that is with a topcoat, but it was smooth and shiny without one. Just needed the dry-time-boost.

Blue-ming Romance has restored my faith in Piggy Polish and now I won't be so hesitant to pick up another.

I picked up Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire a while ago. Long while ago. I just had a feeling it was going to be one of those tricky little "I'm more sheer than you think I am! HAHAHAHA!" polishes, and I was right. Just had to wait around until I used the perfect blue base. Which I did!

BWTBAM isn't just a mouthful, it's a total eyefull! Beautiful, sparkly holo-ey goodness.

It does have the same stiff brush that the rest of their "fastdry" line have, but the base was thick enough that it wasn't too much of a problem. Also, it's not a cream or something that's gonna get dig-marks running through it. Video!!

Very nicely done Wet n Wild, very nice. Hey, if everybody goes out and buys this, maybe they'll work on more holos! :D Course, I guess with the base being as sheer as it is they wouldn't end up too different prolly.... meh. Get it if you want it. It is pretty and did dry really quickly. Though, I'll warn you, it did need two layers of topcoat to get that smooth.

Sometimes a matte topcoat isn't the brightest idea...

Shiny on the left, matte on the right. lol So matte doesn't make everything more fabulous. Don't know until ya try! Speaking of trying, ready to see what Alexis has been up to?

She liked the braid I did so much I pointed her to a tutorial and she whipped this out lickity split. :D Now if I could just get her to quit chewing on the damn things.... LOL That not enough for ya? Check out what greeted me when I came in from taking the last set of pictures:

Kitty eyes on me always. That's Saleen (left) and Icarus (right). He's not supposed to be on the sink, but I kinda let it go. *ssshhhhhhh* lol I'm done with SwagBucks today so after I update my stash page with this post I think I'll let the computer cool off while I catch up on y'all's blogs on the laptop then get back to simming. Working on an acrobat short-story. Also contemplating my post-polish goal to be a new computer. I know, I know, I just got one from the inlaws, but I can't figure out how to set the video to play sims and I can't find the disc for the internet reciever. *sssshhhhh* I should repaint my toes..... Hope everyone's week is off to a great start!

  2. So pretty :) you found a good bargain! I guess cos it's so sheer you might be able to put it over a purple or something, it would tint it a bur but then you'd get a brand new colour ;)
