Young and Simlish #14

Stardust left the majority of the ancient scrolls with the museum's curator, along with copies of all of her translations. The last she carefully rolled up and hid in her suitcase. As soon as she got home she grabbed Ari, spread out her paperwork and walked him through all that the scroll contained. "Please", she practically begged. "Tell me this scroll doesn't have my name written on it as the final decendant of Pangu!"

Ari looked over the scroll and Stardust's notes. It had been years since he studied Simji in college, but names and dates are fairly easy to pick out. Sure enough at the bottom of what appeared to be a family tree was the name "Stardust" directly underneath an Edith Sanderson and another name that appeared either worn or scratched out. Stardust, overcome with sadness, anger, and fear, shakily told Ari everything. About her "aunt", the house and everything in the basement. The book, the voodoo doll and the cauldron. "I don't want any part of this! Why am I on this scroll?! I just want to be a normal person. Please, Ari, stay here with me and help me figure this all out. I don't need a butler, I just need you...."

Ari held her for a long while, allowing her to calm down and gather herself. He promised to always be there for her, no matter what. Somehow they would figure out how to give her a normal life; free from magic and curses and all of it. She thanked him and they held each other for a long while before going to bed.

Exhausted from her emotional rollercoaster (and absolutely refusing to believe that her parents were not her real parents) Stardust fell directly to sleep. As Ari climbed into bed with her, as her boyfriend and not her butler, he wondered if he had acted too hastily. He had no experience in these matters. He had felt a certain love for her the first day he came to work, but was it that kind of love? His sleep, vexed with unanswered questions of his own, was not as restful.

Regardless, as soon as Stardust left to assist the movie director with some fight scene choreography, Ari sat at her laptop and began searching. And searching, and searching.... After several hours he found something which may be of use. A discovery perfectly timed as Stardust walked in from her day's work.

He approached her solemnly and began, "I can't be sure if this will work, but I believe I may have found an answer to your dilemma......"

    1. I do, too. This story just ended up getting so much weirder than I ever intended. XD Sometimes they take on a life of their own.
