Beetlejuice Is Here!!!!!!

*throws confetti* Oh my goodness. I was sitting here working on a little crochet project (which I'll share when I'm done) putting off painting my nails when suddenly there was a knock at the door. I didn't even hear the doorbell, but when I looked at the clock and it said 4:30 my heart skipped a beat and I just knew. "Beetlejuice is here!", I gasped to myself. I ran out of the room and my mom holds out a package and informs me, "I had to sign for this." OMG I don't care gimme gimme gimme!! Ok, I didn't say that. I said, "Thank you" with a big ol' cheesy grin on my face. I couldn't stand waiting long enough to get back to my scissors so I ran into the kitchen a grabbed a knife from the counter to cut open the plastic envelope to reveal the goodness inside.

Even though partial proof was on the envelope itself, I just had to see it!

Upon seeing that simple, yet beautiful, logo I swear I heard a choir of angels singing around me. LOL Yes, I know how crazy that sounds, but I've been waiting so long! Unable to contain my excitement I even kissed the box before I could get to my camera....

Now this is the part where I'm glad I was alone. I told my cousin "I felt like every Christmas I ever had prepared me for opening that box" and what I mean is this: While I may be the most excrutiating person to watch open presents*, I am a master at not ripping pretty paper. Do you know how hard it is to remove tape from tissue paper without ripping it? Very.

So lovely. First up, my free eyeliner pencil!

With sharpener and smudgey sponge built right in. How awesome is that? Finally, my preciouses:

*swoons* Left-to-right/top-to-bottom: Copper Pot, Tropical Sun, Aqua Violet, Pinky Brown, Golden Green, Purple Blue, Emerald Black & Indian Ocean. And the free clear coat. :D Since Golden Green was the first one I ever saw and it looks so much like a beetle (a trait which the blogger was less than enthused about) that's the one I'm doing first. Sorry, Dannii, you'll just have to wait a little longer. At least 4 days because I'm definitely trying Emerald Black, Purple Blue and Pinky Brown next. Possibly in that order. :D OMG I have to go update my spreadsheet!

*My family has always been neurotic about not ripping up gift-wrap paper. If you wrap and unwrap carefully, the paper can be reused which saves trees. So Christmas with the inlaws is pretty funny, especially when they're excited about what I'm getting. I'll sit there, despite the pressure to tear, and carefully open my gift(s). One year his sister, practically bursting with excitement, yelled at me, "Will you just rip it already you're killing me!" To which I replied "Oh my gawd I can't!" and we all laughed so hard. Even funnier when the kiddos try to "help" me and I have to dodge them because then it takes even longer! lol Ok, time to start painting. ;)
