And it did! Slate is a nice, smooth dark grey. Very even, even though it's pretty thick. So first thing after getting these pictures I rushed inside and added two coats of Nicole by OPI: A Million Sparkles(6)! A lovely polish sent by Bethany so I could see what is so horrid about bar glitter. I don't know what the big deal is, I LOVE IT!
Look at all that glitter!! They really packed it in there. Not only do you have the bigger pink bar glitter, but also teeny little blue bars that my camera didn't want to focus on. In addition to the circular blue and gold glitter. So much glitter! I like that the bar glitter adds a bit of interest. And they more or less all try to face the same direction. Kinda reminded me of chemistry class. Or biology.... like chromosomes. Apparently, in my head, one little thing was missing....
Random chunks of giant hex glitter, of course! One coat of Revlon: Whimsical(7) did kinda dull down the bling, but one coat of shiney topcoat(8) and another of quick dry topcoat(9!) later and you can't even tell. I mean, unless you really know what you're looking for.
You may be asking yourself what's up with the count-up? I've certainly counted layers, but not like that. Well, there is a reason for it and it's.... hrm.... kinda funny after the fact. Last night I somehow managed to run over a (hardware type) nail and putting a giant hole in my tire. So this morning I go out to change it (to the donut, got an appointment first thing in the morning for a new tire) and as I'm huffing and puffing and struggling to loosen up the lug nuts.....
dude i was half awake when i saw your text this morning and i was like WTF! is that her nail??? lol then i looked again...lmao
ReplyDeleteLOL I know, right?! It was hanging off when I first saw it and almost had a stroke!! Took me a minute to realize it didn't hurt.
DeleteLol glad you liked the glitter :)
