My Cousin's Nails

Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time in Germany I was a little baby. As luck (or fate) would have it, my Uncle happened to be stationed in Germany as well. He came to visit the little baby me and was the first person (aside from my parents and hospital staff) to hold me. Aw. But that's not all! The awesome presence that is me is, apparently, transcendent. Twelve years later my cousin was born and she grew up to have so many of those wonderful traits that make me the awesome person I am, and we never even met. (How do we both love RHPS so much?) Yes, I'm totally taking credit for my cousin's awesomeness! Don't give me that look. :p Ok, it might have more to do with our dads being brothers (and our dads are awesome, too); but I helped dangit!

Anyway, when I started posting up pictures of my polish and nail art I got a bunch of my friends and family all re-excited about nail polish. My cousin, especially, has some terrific ideas and amazing skills. I asked her permission and now I would like to share with you some of my favorites.

Blue and purple zebra stripes. Freehand!

That's supposed to be Yoshi's saddle. I thought it was funny (or possibly harmonious awesomeness) that she posted these the same day I wore my new Yoshi shirt. Totally uncollaborated!

And Pokeballs. Too cute! I have such a problem coming up with ideas, let alone convincing myself to actually do them; but she just goes for it. Thank goodness for facebook, otherwise I wouldn't even know her (the only downside to growing up army-brat). I love you, Alexis. Follow your own path and don't let The Man get you down!

  1. Awesome! I love the pokeballs!

  2. This is so cute! My little niece has started sending me pics of her nails, it's such a joy!

    1. That's awesome. It's really fun seeing other people get excited, too.

I love hearing from you!
