Another Award!

A very big THANK YOU to Abbie over at AbbieNail for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award!

Yes, she says I can have all five, but that feels greedy (even if I do deserve it LOL) so I picked this one because I think it's fitting. If you want to see all five, click here. Abbie has gorgeous nails and some fantastic designs and is super sweet if you request to see a specific polish. :D Ok, ok, enough fun and gushing, here's the official stuff:

1. Nominate 15 fellow Bloggers
2. Inform them of their nominations
3. Share 7 random facts about yourself
4. Thank the Blogger(s) who nominated you
5. Add the Versatile Blogger Award picture to your blog post.

#1... yeah, we know how that works out. So here's what I'll do, I'll direct you over to iKandyByBarbie. I just recently started following and I feel kind of bad because I don't know if her name is Barbie or if that's a nickname cuz she looks like Barbie? Anyway, she's super nice and I love her philosophy ("I have found it to be very rewarding to work as a makeup artist because it allows me to put a smile on someone else's face and help them achieve a look that makes them feel great!") so I think she's worth checking out.

Ok, #3. Seven random facts. This is actually kind of exciting. What with all the new readers I have that don't know that much about me. Share time!

1. I was born in Nurnberg, Germany and spent most of my childhood in Karlsruhe, Germany. Both of my parents were in the army so I've also lived in Kansas, Colorado and New Jersey before settling here in Texas.

2. I've been a hardcore video-gamer since I was 8 or so. Started with 8-bit fun on our Tandy computer and have worked my way up to Sims 3 (on pc) and neurotically gaining achievements on the Xbox 360. Controlling digital people makes me feel like a god.

3. I got married on Halloween 2000. I wasn't one of those girly-girls that had every detail of my future wedding & family life planned out, so I let Aaron decide what day he wanted. This way he has no excuse for not remembering. ;)

4. I am, quite literally, a tree-hugger. My mom got me into recycling and water/electricity conservation when I was very young; and in Girl Scouts I learned that if you're ever lost in the woods - hug a tree. That way you're easier to find and it helps calm you down. It's very cathartic. Just check for ants first.

5. I was the Individual Events captain of our schools Speech & Debate team in high school. Even though I didn't want to join (I was happy being timekeeper, one of the coaches strongarmed me into competing lol) I ended up winning three 3rd place trophies and one 1st place!

6. I have 12 piercings. Sounds freakier than it is because if I'm dressed and have my hair down you can't see any of them. That's 9 in my ears, my tongue, belly button and... my "special" one. LOL When my dad first took me to get my military ID we sat behind a lady with a white moehawk and so many earrings. I was mesmerized and so impressionable.

7. I believe in aliens, Big Foot, Nessie, faeries, leprechauns and the increasingly real possibility of a zombie apocalypse. Unicorns and dragons, I think, probably used to exist, but I guess they weren't as good at hiding as the rest and are now extinct. Unless they're better at hiding and that's why nobody sees them anymore.

So there you have it. Random enough for you? 100% true, by the way. Uhm.... ok. I guess that's it. Now to see if blogger will let me add this one to the sidebar. Thanks so much, Abbie!!

  1. LOL @ #7 i agree with ya totally!

  2. Awww :) too kind lovely! I like what you said about your wedding good plan ha ;) you are super welcome!
That traffic feed thing is freaky, now you can see how often I stalk you :P I am the visitor from Nottingham hahah!

    1. Yay! Now I know. I saw it on another blog and thought "hey, that's pretty cool, I can see myself!" and then I was curious how many of my friends said they read my blog, but didn't. Now I have actual visitors and I'm so excited to see you on there. And here. Thanks again!

  3. I love reading all the little tidbits about you! We seem to have a fair bit in common girlie :)

I love hearing from you!
