Found It!

I found my goal dress. I was looking for a white dress shirt for some more pictures and found the dress and my hippy shirt instead. Meh, fair trade I guess. Here's my purdy dress:

I will fit into that dress. *ugh* I hate how myspace condenses pictures. Looks like I have a horrible jowl in that picture. *ggrr* Well, I guess that's it. Just wanted to share the dress.

Ramblin' Rose

Sometimes awesomeness just sneaks up on you in random places. From out of nowhere. You get to bask in it's glow for a short while and sometimes that's enough. Sometimes not. Then you're stuck with the task of moving on. Difficult though that may be, it must be done. Oh for the joy of madness! Sane awareness, or hyper-awareness, just plain sucks. Except in those moments. Sometimes you get lucky though . . . . and sometimes things come together.

I made a decision. By next Arbor Day, when we plant our next tree, I'm going to fit into my awesome white dress. I picked it up from . . . . Ross or Goodwill and it ended up being too small. That was . . . . 2 years ago? I want to wear it. I want to look good in it. And that's just what I intend to do. I'll post up a pic as soon as I dig it out. I'm sure it's in here somewhere. It's like a mix between my green dress I never found (even though I know I saw it just a few weeks ago!) and my Marylin Monroe costume. Maybe by that point I'll be able to fulfill Aaron's dream of me being able to wear a 2-piece again. He'd be happy with me putting one on now; he wants me to be happy wearing one.

If anybody happens to remember when I almost died after sucking a sprinkle into my lung, you might get a laugh knowing I almost did it again. Except this time it was a Sprite bubble. I'm not sure which was worse. I think the Sprite bubble. It was just a little one too, but it took me forever to get all of it out.

Well, I just got done taking some pictures. ^_^ I don't think purple suits me as well as it does Brak and Sandy . . . . or maybe the length just isn't flattering to my face shape . . . . I dunno. I guess we'll see. Apparently I'm overly critical of myself anyway. 'Night all.

Adventerous Eating Pt. 4

*trumpet sounds* Last night's delicious delicacy was Brak's Vindaloo! She made it for us before Earth Day so we could bring it home and enjoy. (Although we would have enjoyed it just as much there ^_^)

Nevermind that stuff on the stove. That's not vindaloo, it's old grease. See how good that looks? See those generous chunks of chicken?! My initial concern was that it was going to be super spicy, but as it cooked I wasn't hit with an eye-watering spice-heat so I started to calm down. I also *ahem* prepared rice and Naan to go with it.

Yeah, I cheated. That 5-minute rice has a wierd consistancy and I've only ever gotten normal rice to come out properly twice. Our pots suck.

Ta-da! Looks good, right? Well, that's nothing compared to how good it tastes! You should be totally jealous. There was a little heat around the edges, but it was kind of sweet too. I'm definitely for sure going to have to learn to make it for myself. I think even my dad would eat it. He doesn't normally like spicy food, but it's not that spicy. "Just right" spicy. Very very very good. Bravo, Brak! Bravo!

Mud Drops On My Windshield

Only thing I hate about rain. And, ya know, it's fairly recent too. Our driveway never ever ever got this bad until they tore up the trees and grasses and stuff. I'm working on something. And I'm gonna do it too. Just you wait, you'll see. And it'll be fantastic. It's that time, ya know?

We did a lot of driving around today. Ended up at the walmart in Cove. Only for the reason of using their bathroom. We went in, walked to the bathroom, were about to walk in and this bitch, with all the attitude she could muster, told Aaron that the bathroom was closed (there was no sign, no reason to have such an attitude about it) and he'd have to use the one in back. So we head to the back and she keeps trying to call me to let me know I can use that one. Excuse me? What sense would that make? I can walk to the back of walmart with my husband so we don't have to search the damn building for each other. Stupid. Aaron was livid. So when we got to the back bathroom he pissed all over the stall. The walls, the toilet, the toilet paper dispenser. Everything. Let that rude bitch clean that! Reminded me of the rude waitress that got dark chocolate for her tip. Do not be rude to customers! Especially if they haven't done anything to warrant it.

20 minutes and I'm getting started on dinner. Expect an "Adventures in Eating" sement tomorrow because tonight we're having the vindaloo that Brak so lovingly cooked up for us. MMMmmmm. Depending on how I feel after that (I might be too stuffed to move) I'm gonna see how I look in her purple wig for some pictures. Not near as cute, I figure, but maybe close. ^_^

Happy Arbor Day!

It's easy! Plant a tree! ^_^ Though they've been kind of mushed together, there are some differences between Earth Day and Arbor Day. Arbor Day is exclusively a "plant a tree" kind of day. Actively doing something to rebuild Earth's natural resources, clean up the air. Also, there's the getting together with friends part. But that's just an added bonus. Earth Day is more about the recycling and writing to your senator about green initiatives.

So we got out a little late. It happens. But we did get everything squeezed in, and it was so great to just hang out with everybody all day. Even Hayley joined in and lent a helping hand! Brak got her rat cages cleaned out, the tree got planted. We made it a wish tree and everyone made wishes. Lunch and dinner were fantastic. I'm still full! And I'm so glad that everyone got along! *phew* Hehehehe. I wasn't terribly worried about that part . . . just a smidgen. I only have about 1/3 of the pics taken today. Brak and Sandy have the rest on their cameras. As always I'm only uploading the best ones here. The entire collection can be found here. If that clicky link doesn't work, copy-paste and remove any stupid myspace spaces:

Enjoy. lol *phew* I'm stuffed and exhausted. And kind of sad. What is there to look forward to now?! Well, minus Sandy and I are going out there on the 10th to offer moral support while Brak entrusts her rats to the movers.

Happy Earth Day

Woah. They changed the bloggy stuff again. Hrm. Anyways, Happy Earth Day! Sandy and I went to the planetarium at CTC for a free show. First there was a guest speaker . . . if I can find the pamphlets . . . . No. Zoe something. She was kinda funny. After that was a movie about China's role in construction and their "superblocks" that are 20-story apartment buildings that take up so many resources. Unfathomable growth in China. But the interesting thing is if they changed to "ecoblocks" which are self-sustaned and eco-friendly, they would save $35 billion a year in construction costs!! Not to mention what they would save in energy production, etc. The website for the movie is I'm pretty sure you can get the video from there, but being on dial-up I can't say for sure. Sandy? Help? lol Oh! They had a space rock in the lobby and we got to touch it. ^_^ They said there was a display at the library, but it was hardly worth the walk.

After that we were feeling green so we took Sandy's cans out to the recycling facility . . . . and couldn't get in. We heaved everything into the van to take 'em onto Ft. Hood and found out there are bins outside the shopette just outside the ID check gates. *whoot* Either way, those cans are getting recycled.

And today we finally picked my mom back up from the airport. Finally! She had a miserable time and has no plans of going back. I'm not thrilled by this fact, especially since she fails to see the similarities between her youngest sister and mine, but there is a sort of smug satisfaction.

Her Time Has Come

There's something very angering about a sim who's supposed to be locked in a dungeon showing up at community lots. So I decided to just get it over with and starve her to death. The procession of pics are as follows: She's hungry. It took 2 days of flatlined hunger need for her to actually die. Then there's Azalea cheering as the grim reaper comes for her. Cleaning up the dungeon for the next unfortunate person to be simmed to death. Then, the coup de gras, the smashing of the urn. The smashy pieces will remain there as a grim sign for future unfortunates. I probably won't play this sim again until that day comes. She does her job well. Too well. Can't just have her roaming free to look for unwitting victims . . . .

Day #25

Good news! (It's a suppository, hehehehe) This will very likely be my last numbered day blog. My dad's finally home. Finally! I was talking to my mom on the phone (again) and told her he wasn't in, went to pee and there he was. Effectively making me a liar. But in a good way!

Now we have to start working on all the crap that needs doin' before the new load of crap gets here. There are some good things coming, bike & treadmill, printer, antique sewing machine; but it's still going to be a giant ass-pain getting everything moved around.

Oooh, and my mom is borrowing Supernatural Seasons 1-3 from my Aunt. Hehehe. It's going to take forever to rip & burn that many discs, but unless their coded all funky (I am working off of free cheap-o software) it'll be totally worth it. Especially since they made CW a pay channel and we've missed everything since 1/2-way through the 2nd season.

Day #23

I'm so pissed at myself. I told myself not to get my hopes up, but then I went ahead and did it anyway and this is what I get for my efforts. Now he's not coming home until Sunday or Monday! Talked to him around 7-ish and he was still in Wyoming. Figures.

It rained pretty fiercely . . . . this morning I assume. My mom called me at 10am and it was raining, then it rained some more in the afternoon. It's supposed to rain again tomorrow. That, boys and girls, is a literary tool called "romantic irony". When the weather in a passage reflects the mood of the character(s). I picked that little tidbit up in the Cliff's Notes of 'Jane Eyre'.

Well . . . I'm off to reset my 'dad' counter yet again to noon on Monday. With any luck it'll be the last time I have to do that. Stupid Schneider.

Day #22

It's looking like he won't be in tomorrow. He called a bit ago, but he's roaming . . . I don't see what the difference is since he's paying for unlimited roaming . . . maybe he forgot that too? O.o As soon as he gets near a Sprint tower he's calling back and I can ask him how close he is. Of course my sister's got to be off tomorrow, but she'll just have to wait 'til we get done what needs doing.

Aw. I missed the 10,000 views mark. Now it's 10,011. hehehe Binary. We're supposed to be getting some wicked rain. Not quite looking forward to that either. At least we have new tires and brakes.

Yeah. Fairly uneventful day. I'm going to have to wake up Aaron soon so we can take up the trash. I'm so glad this ordeal is almost over. I can hardly believe I've made it this far. Too soon yet to tell if there's permanent mental damage.

Create Your Own Reality

Creating What We Don’t Want
When Worry becomes A Prayer
If prayer is an intention that we announce to the universe in order to create a desired outcome, then our every thought is a prayer. This includes thoughts of worry as well as of hope. All thoughts are subtle creative energy. Some thoughts are more focused or repeated more often, gathering strength. Some are written down or spoken, giving them even greater power. Every thought we have is part of a process whereby we cocreate our experience and our reality with the universe. When we use our creative energy unconsciously, we create what is commonly known as self-fulfilling prophecy. In essence, when we worry, we are repeatedly praying and lending our energy to the creation of something we don’t want.

The good news is that we can retrain our minds and thoughts to focus our energy on what we do desire to bring into our lives. Since most worry is repetitive, it will take more than one positive thought to counteract the energy we’ve created. The simplest antidote to worry is affirmations. When we hold these positive thoughts, repeat them often, speak them and write them and refer to them throughout our day, we are using focused energy to create positive results.

We can start right away, together: I am a creative being, using my energy to cocreate a wonderful world. I know that I create my experience of life from within, and as I do so, I also create ripples of energy around me that echo into the world. My positive thoughts gather together with the thoughts and prayers of others, and together we create enough positive energy to heal not only our own lives but the world we share. I am grateful for the ability to cocreate good in my life and in the world.

A lot of times we have concerned loved ones that worry about us. When this happens they are also sending out a worry prayer to the world. A loving conversation letting them know what is happening is the easiest solution. Also, ask them to send you positive affirmations rather than worry about you. After all, worry doesn’t do them any good either. Explain to them that worry can actually be energetically harmful to you and that wishing good things for you is much more beneficial and much more fun too.

Day #21

3 full weeks in the bag. *swoosh* ^_^ Today was a long complicated day. Starting at about 4:30 this morning when Aaron woke me up to show me the progress he made cleaning up the room behind my back. O.o I can see the bed now! We can both lay on it and stretch out! It's fantastic! Once we get the chair out of here we can start thinking of what we're going to do with all the crap that isn't trash. Hehehehe. Spring Cleaning! I'm starting to feel better already.

Hope everyone got their taxes filed. We tried to do it online, but I checked it today at about 9 and it didn't go through! Something stupid with the electronic signature. Of course when my dad tried to call the help number it was busy. Of course. Cuz everyone else is wondering what the hell their supposed to do too. So I ended up with 2 hours to get them paid. I have never done taxes before. I never made enough money to have to worry about it. Luckily the 1040 was already filled in in pencil so I just had to erase that and pen it in. Then, of course, I had the W2 and other one 99-something stapled to the back and had to redo it. I checked online and our post office downtown is postmarking everything in the drop box that gets dropped off before midnight as today. 25 more minutes people! Go! Go! Go! I was on the phone with my dad almost the whole time so he could walk me through the confusing parts. Like the whole deal with the labels. o.O The last thing he said was "You better get it there in time (I had an hour and a half). If you get into a wreck on the way there you crawl on your bloody hands and knees if you have to. Then if you still need an ambulance you can call one." lmao Thanks dad. Yes, he was kidding. Mostly. When I got there it wasn't near as packed as I expected. Me, one other car and 2 people walking up. *shrugs* The bad news is the borked his load so he probably won't be in until late Saturday or early Sunday.

I'm being dragged away kicking and screaming now. Hehehehe. Naw. We do have some things to pick up. I guess I'll update my counter when I get

Day #20

Tuesday. Just another day in a string of long long days. So, I'll give you guys a break. Instead of another *bitch~moan* numbered day blog I'm going to share some information I came across today. Prepare yourselves.

I was watching Unsolved Mysteries this morning. One of their stories was on Father Solanus. I know, I blog a lot about Catholic personalities. Don't read too much into it. He caught my attention because he apparently was, and still is, a terrific healer.

One story they had on U.M. was of a boy who contracted polio. One of the father's coworkers heard the news and went to Father Solanus to ask him to pray for the boy. Father Solanus said the boy would be fine the next day and he was! Throughout the rest of his life he had no lingering effects from the polio.

Another one was a woman who had a lump in her breast. They were going to take a biopsy and as her and her husband were walking through the hospital they passed a prayer room that had Father Solanus' picture on the wall. The husband closed his eyes and prayed that his wife please not have to be cut open ever again. 1/2 an hour later they did another mamogram to mark where to cut her open and the lump had completely vanished.

I think this is just amazing. I'm bookmarking that site. Tomorrow when I have more time I'm going to download the free mp3s. Possibly something in there worth incorperating into meditation.

Everybody Please Help!

I'm making my first attempt at making one of my friends on Sims. It's not going so well. I decided to start with Brak so I could hook her up with my Lilith sim. For those of you who don't know, here's what Brak looks like:

So I put up her picture alongside body shop and went to town. I came up with a sim that I thought looked really close. Until I got her in the game. So I tried again using Maxis skin and eyes and even though I spent more time trying to get the features absolutely perfect, I still don't think it looks like her. Maybe I should look for more Brak-y skin color and hairstyle.

So, my questions are:

1. Which one looks more like Brak?
2.Why don't they look like her?
3. What am I missing/doing wrong?
4. Should I just start over?

And in case you're wondering I made that dress special for her based off of some of her pictures from a while back. It's symbolic.

Day #19

Talked to my mom this morning. It's funny how often she called. Just one week and one day (two, I guess, since she comes in late Wednesday) and she'll be back. Anyway. She said that my sister said that as soon as they get the Cougar fixed they're moving out. I told her "Just like the last 3 times, I'll believe it when I see it." And then I'll throw a party. I'll change my profile pic to one of me throwing a giant handful of confetti into the air.

For some reason I'm taking her to work at 5:30am. Wendy's doesn't do breakfast. I'm assuming it has something to do with inventory. But it is also better than 6:30pm. Cuz that would be a short day indeed. Aaron and I are working on cheap, easy dinner menus for when my dad gets here. The man's going to need his energy so we can work on getting all the crap done that my mom wants done. Which reminds me, again, I need to refind that information on the city dump. I think we're going to be making some trips. Unless he just wants to chunk it off the side of the driveway like everyone else does. We'll see.

Hey, Shed, did ya notice who won yet again tonight? *pokes* I told Aaron he was going to. He says "Well, with the draft there's a chance he won't win." But we knew better, didn't we? Hehehe. And the looks on Miz and Morrison's faces when Miz got drafted! Priceless. I swear I thought they were gonna cry.

Day #18

Pleh. At least it's a fresh week. Into the home stretch. She's off tomorrow so it's a good thing we've got food. Today was pretty boring. Which is good. Better than the alternative. I remembered to pick up a paper. TV guide in Sunday paper since they got rid of TV Guide channel. I still don't understand why they would do that. I mean, it's been going for YEARS and suddenly we're not allowed to see it? That's a really crap way to try and get people to pay money for a box.

Yes, I got so bored I painted my toenails and took a picture of it. Enjoy. I've been simming a lot. Got one teenage kid home alone since the old woman his mother dumped him with died. I'm trying to graduate his brothers before moving him to college. I've got 10 dorms and all of them are full. Haven't gone back to fucking with Bitch-sim yet. Soon enough. Soon enough.

Saturday, April 11, 2009

Day #17

One more week done and gone. *swoosh* At Aaron's insistance we went out to Nates for a while. Left Elvis outside so we didn't have to rush back to save the room. It was nice to get out for a bit. And the house was still standing when we got back. That was nice too. Had an interesting encounter this morning, though. Was taking my sister to work and the landlord intercepted us. It's the middle of the month! WTF is he doing out here? Apparently deciding that this summer he wants to paint the trailer. *sigh* I let my dad know. There's a chance we're going to circumvent him and paint it on our own behind his back. The further away he stays the better.

I also talked to my mom. I can't remember if I mentioned it, but about a week after she gets back she's babysitting my niece for a week in Lampasas. O.o I think I convinced her it would be a good idea to spend a good chunk of that time with Colleen here. I hope so. Even chasing her around the house would be an emotional break, at least.

Oh my goodness. This guy they got on Comedy Central is just too funny! We haven't even caught his name yet, but he's hilarious. *pulls out TV Guide* John Caparulo. It feels good to laugh.

Day #16

And the clock goes around and around and around and around. I'm about done. I've had enough. One more week. At least tomorrow I don't have to worry about taping anything. Today we saw the damndest thing, though. Driving to walmart and sitting off the side of the highway was a truck. On fire! There was no evidence of a wreck. It was like any normal truck you would see pulled off to the side of the road for, like, a flat tire or something. Except for the fact that it was on fire. By the time we were heading back the fire was out and they had the truck on the back of a tow truck.

Took Sandy up to the pharmacy. Then she did me the favor of getting me a carton (my $, her ID) at the PX. Thanks a fucking lot you assholes for jacking the price up. Again. "We can't sell them any more than 5% less than off post" *gggrrr* I'm working on cutting back. I'll be quiting soon. I hate feeling like I have to, but that's just too much money.

Picked up a new kite today. I haven't taken it for a test spin yet. Aaron's convinced I'll never get one to fly in the back yard anyway because of the trees. I'm convinced all I need is a solid wind going in one direction. I'll keep trying with my little kite. I'll save the big one for one day when we go out someplace with more space.

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Day #15

Finally back to work with her. Makes things a little easier. Heard from my mom. We're getting a stationary bike and a treadmill. Sweet. Just got to find a way to keep the jinx off of 'em. So I've got to clean off the back porch and clear out the living room cuz she's also getting 2 couches and 2 chairs and maybe an entertainment system.

So, more cleaning for me. Yay. They're packing the stuff my mom's getting into a "Pod" and shipping it down here. Hopefully not before my dad's here at least. I don't need some other huge thing forced on my shoulders. "Oh yeah, sure, park right there in the middle of our tiny dirt cul-de-sac; and could you just put everything on the lawn because our house is a mess." *ugh*

I'll be so glad when my dad gets here and I can spend more time with Aaron. He's having a helluva time in here all by himself. And we've still got to take out the trash.

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Day #14

Finally! 2 full weeks in the bag. My head hurts. I usually enjoy Wednesday nights because of the ghost shows, but right now all I want to do is lay down. After I do some researching. I was pushing on my eyeballs with my cold fingers to relieve the eyeball tension and saw Lillith. Maybe if I spend some time with Her I'll find out why I saw Her. Time to do a little dream work.

We're working on giving Elvis a haircut. He's being less than cooperative. Used to be he'd just lay there and let us do it. He'd give us 45 minutes or so before he'd get antsy and then we'd have to resume the next day. Now we're having to do it while he's sleeping and stopping when he wakes up. Poor puppy is 1/2 done in patches. It looks like he's got mange or something. But at least the scissors I took from my mom are really sharp so it's going much better. If we don't get lucky and finish before tree day then we're going to have to get him the hard way. Whether he likes it or not. Which he won't.

And we've made it through the two day stretch. Yay. I wonder if Wendy's is going to be closed for Easter. HEB is going to be. And of course Hobby Lobby and Chick-fil-a. Whatever. If Wendy's is closed hopefully it'll count as one of her weekly two days off.

Day #13

Well, even if he gets screwed and doesn't come home 'til next Sunday then we've still gotten over the halfway hump. So, as Brak said, we just have to do what we've already done. And, as Winston Churchill said, "If you're going through hell, keep going." And as Hank Hill said, "Just take it one day at a time, like the drunks do." All good advice. Would've been nice if they didn't order two pizzas and then just take off so I had to tell the delivery guy I had no idea what he was talking about cuz surely no one here ordered a pizza. And it would be super if she'd give me back the damn van key before I have to raise hell. Heh. I guess that's another halfway hump since tomorrow is her 2nd of her two days off in a row. Just got to make it through tomorrow and then back to work for her. Then we just see how next week goes and then we're in the clear. That's not too much, right? I can make it. If we can get Elvis to behave. *sigh* Drama, drama, drama. I wish I could just sleep off the next two weeks.

Took Sandy to her appointment today. Took her and JD actually. He's not too bad from what I can tell so far. Didn't make my 2-second shit list, so kudos for that. Yes, for those of you who don't know me that well in person, there are a great many people I can tell in 2 seconds if they're a shitty person or not. Even if they've got everybody else fooled. I've never been wrong.

I'm a bit late mentioning, but you know how every now and then Harlequin will send out things for free books? Well, due to some kind of mix-up, I got 6 free books. Not romance books, they do murder-mystery/suspence, too. I finished one book called "The Whispering Room." It was really good. The author lives in Houston, but the book takes place mostly in New Orleans. People die by snakebite, crazy ladies and almost twins. Good stuff. The one I'm reading now is called "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" and it's got a (supposedly) cute private detective and a midget girl (like Sandy!) jewel thief and a pug-fuggly dog. I'm about 1/2 way through it. I had started one of the other books about a lawyer and something where he got suspended and had to pick 10 cases to finish off and it's about his last case before his suspension. I kinda lost that book, though. I think it was called "The Tenth Case" and it's got a greyish cover and it should be around here somewhere.

Okay, I'll stop boring you with my ranting. I'm starting to put myself to sleep. *fingers crossed* for 10 1/2 days before things go back to normal. Maybe 9 1/2 but I dare not hope.

Day #12

Did I mention how exhausted I am? (I do believe I warned you these weren't going to be my normal rivetting blog posts) Mostly mentally. I dropped my dad off this morning. And so the long stretch before his next return begins. *ominous theme plays* I have a few things to remember to do while he's gone. Bills, shows to tape. Rivetting.

I did have a very unusual dream during my mid-day "eat up time" nap. It started out in a backwoods kind of swampy area. I was driving the Christianmobile down this out of the way dirt road (I think Sandy was with me) and started to stop at this abandoned decrepit shack of a gas station. I drove slowly through the dirt parking lot looking for a gas pump that didn't look completely erroded when a car (I don't even remember what kind or if it was a cop or not, but it might've been) pulled in. I got spooked and punched the gas. I headed towards the wooded area of the swamp figuring I'd be safer. . . even though I had no idea where I was so there was a good chance of me getting lost. The engine flooded giving the offending car plenty of time to catch up and when it did I guess I got lucky and managed to drive off. The road was hilly and the trees were thick. It was very dark. I saw some lights ahead and went towards those. This is where it got wierd. In previous dreams I often visit the apartments I grew up in in Germany. They are usually different, as expected, this time they werereally different. Our stairwell was the entirety of the building and it was fancy! Dark rich woods, fancy panelling, intricate detail work on the double stair-well. This is where my memory gets a bit hazy. I remember going up floor by floor. . . . I was checking all of the doors (yes, all 6 doors were right where they should have been) and I ended up at the top-right door (where we used to live, 11F). I think I was checking to see if they were locked? But if there was something in there that was going to "get me" then it could logically get out of a locked door, right? Anyway, the last thing I remember is getting up to our door and then I woke up.

*ugh* Anybody else watch wrestling? Am I the only person sick and tired of watching Rey Mysterio win week after week after week against people he has no business winning against? There's "underdog" and then there's "obviously set up". I pray for the day when one of the big guys just turns him into paste.

Day #11

A little late, but I was just too tired last night. We ended up having to dig through the piles to try and find my box. Took out 8 bags of trash and finally found it, but what we thought was in there wasn't. So now I'm wondering, where could Aaron's SS card be?! There's a chance that it just dissovled, but I don't think so. Hrm.

Pleh. It's been great having my dad here. Someone to talk to and someone to keep an eye on things that isn't me! It's a little sad, though, too, because we're coming up on the long stretch. No less than 11 full days 'til he comes back. Oh! He looked at the priceline information on ticket changes and no matter what there is a base charge of $150 so she's staying to the end. Oh well. We can make it 11 days, right? She'll just have to miss out on 1/2 of his vacation week and maybe she'll keep this in mind next time she decides to take off.

So tomorrow I'm going through my box of pictures. I think I'm going to take a ziploc bag for ones that I scan and one for ones that aren't scanned so I know how far I am getting them re-done. It's a big ol' pain, but it's got to be done. Something else to eat up time.

Day #10

Alright. Who covered Father Time in molasses? Was it you? Hrm?! That's what I thought. Almost 1/2 way to at least decency. My dad's here now which is good an bad. Good because he's here and that's always good; bad because they get more ballsy knowing there are witnesses. So, back to my original train of thought, hopefully only 13 days 'til his week vacation. It still seems odd saying "only" because that's still practically two weeks and it hasn't even been that long since she left!

But, ha-ha, I'm sure at least most of you are familiar with the Horrorfest "8 Films to Die For". We finished off the first set and we're working on finishing off the second set since the third set just came out. *sigh* Anyway, we got Frontier(s) which is our 2nd French horror movie. It was awesome. In some ways I think it was better than The Midnight Meat Train. It was like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hostel mushed together into one movie. Huh? Yeah, the other French one is High Tension. Also very good. See? Some good things can come out of France. . . . . including a small percentage of my ancestors so step off! hehehehehe

Yeah. That's it. Insert your own "bitch~bitch~bitch~moan~gripe~bitch." Ha! Except one last *bitch*. She was on myspace earlier so I just checked her profile. Changed her location to Killeen (bitch, go back to where you came from!!!) but kept her orientation as straight. Heh. No shock there.

Day #09

Yes, another early post. My dad's coming in this evening *fingers crossed* so I want to get as much out of the way as I can. Got to Midas this morning. About 20 minutes early! Took them forever to inspect the brake system. Get this; we had no brake pads left! One good hard stop and it would have been a catastrophe. Almost a good thing my mom's not here. Almost. She's a hard braker. The guy was real nice and had 3 estimates. One for just the brake work, one with that plus the radiator hoses which will need to be replaced soon, and one including the shocks which are 25,000 miles past the manufacturer's suggested replacement milage. I 'hmmmed' and 'hawed' and looked kind of pitiful and he jumped on the computer and knocked $100 of the price. Hehehehehe. Sucker. No, he really was nice and we got the lifetime replacement warranty so we'll never have to pay for brakes on that van ever again and they don't make any noise now and I don't have to start stopping way before I logically should.

So then I went to Kwik Kar to get it inspected. Ever have one of those movie moments where you walk away from a situation and just have to mouth "Oh-my-GAWD!". Yeah. I had one of those. I'm sitting there waiting for someone to ask me what the hell I want, I'm leaned over to put my smokes in my purse and hear "Hey Elizabeth" Who the hell calls me Elizabeth?! I looked up and it's Joey from middle school. HA! Okay, he goes by Joe now. I knew he worked there (and he mentioned to my dad when he was there that he went to school with me) but I certainly wasn't expecting "How ya doing? Here for that inspection?" O.o He looks different. And here's the kicker, I wouldn't even remember him as little as I do (I'm pretty sure he went to KHS . . .) if my friend Amanda hadn't had the HUGEST unreciprocated crush on him. So anyway, ended up being 46 freakin' dollars! "Your windshield wipers are frayed at the ends and coming off" That wasn't Joe, some older guy I don't remember ever seeing there before. $15 a blade. But you know what? I just got back from 3 1/2 hours at Midas and wasn't about to come back after price shopping for the damn things. Whatever, put 'em on and give me my sticker so I can get on with the rest of my day. Jackhole.

Other than that, pretty uneventful. O.o Long day. Little bitch is suddenly all gussied up in the middle of my sister's shift. My guess is I'm going to get up and she'll be gone. Likely off getting herself some cock. Now if only she would just stay gone I could relax and enjoy the rest of the month. Arbor Day!!! I can't wait.

Day #08

Yes, I'm posting early. I dunno how the rest of today's going to go. Firstly, thank y'all so much for being so great and bearing with me. ^_^ I couldn't ask for better friends. Couldn't even imagine such a thing. Finally made that appointment with Midas. 8am tomorrow morning. And I'll be picking her up around 2am so I'll be sleeping when I can.

The firemen were out in force collecting money for Jerry's Kids. I donated a dollar. Because sometimes good things come to good people. And even if the Universe is random, I can't turn my back on a fireman. Well . . . . . *ahem*

Talked to my dad. He's in Oklahoma. Picks up a load at 10am tomorrow morning. Which is just fantastic concidering I'm going to have to okay any Midas charges with him. (did ya catch the sarcasm there?) He'll be dropping this load in Grapevine . . . . it sounds familiar but I have no idea how close that is to here. So with any luck either tomorrow afternoon or Saturday morning. And with any luck the van will be fixed and inspected before he gets here. That would be nice. *sigh* I just wish I didn't have to be the one to get it all done.

As it is now (unless it gets changed) 20 days and 2 hours 'til my mom comes in. Hehehe. She's bored witless. Calling all the time. Maybe next time she'll give me some concideration when I ask her if she's 'absolutely sure' she wants to be gone that long. 'Course, if it wasn't for The Royals it wouldn't matter one lick to me how long she was gone. Ah to dream.

Day #07

Finally it's April! One week down. 3 more to go. *sigh* Today was . . .weird. Long and weird. Seemed like it took forever for the landlord to show up, but 4pm on the 1st is better than 10am the day prior like he has been. Mostly because of our new neighbors who apparently always have something to do. Anyway, he said it looked like I lost weight. Not in an inappropriate way, just off-hand. O.o I don't think I have. It's all the pants. They're really good pants. (kudos to anyone who catches the 2 Futurama references there) Hehehehe. Still have to get the brakes done. Why don't I just do it already? Meh. If you know me you know why. Anyway, I had a little fun on sims. I tried downloading some kind of sim torture device but apparently all of the sadistic simmers are keeping their creations to themselves. Anyways, enjoy! And if you're wondering if I'm being mean with how she looks, check her out for yourself. It's scary how close it is.
