Story Time (w/ pics)

I know I've been writing a lot, but I've just been itching to tell this story. I just wanted to wait until I had a pic of the house so you'd know what I was talking about. Well, I got one! So here goes: A long time ago, before we moved out here, I had a dream.
It was dark and I was trapped in a house. The person who was keeping me captive had left so I decided to try and plan my escape. It was hard to move around in the dark, but I made my way to the living room. The front door was barricaded, but I noticed a sliver of light peeking in through a crack in the top of the curtain. I stood on a stool (or stack of something) so I could see through it. All I could see, however, was wilderness and the posts for the front porch. I didn't want to bust through the window in case he was nearby and would hear it.
I made my way through the kitchen to find that the back door was not barricaded. I opened the door and went through to find myself on an enclosed porch. Just as I was about to breathe a sigh of relief I saw my captor standing to the side with a shotgun pointed at me. He ordered me around to the side of the house and forced me to sit on one of those old school plastic chairs. The kind where there are several welded together. Not only that, Aaron and two of our friends were already tied up on the chairs.
The man with the shotgun went over to talk to his partner who was feeding fuel into some kind of boiler. I looked around to see if there were any neighbors nearby, but saw only more wilderness. I was scared to death, because I had no idea how we were going to get out of there. The man with the shotgun came back over, this time with his buddy in tow holding a red hot poker. They got so close I could feel the heat from it. They were saying something, but all I heard was gibberish. I had to wake myself up at this point.

Then we moved out here.  About a week after settling in I walked down to Mickeys. I passed this house and at first thought nothing of it. However, on my way back I got the perfect view and I saw those chairs!! I stopped and looked closer and soon I recognized the boiler and the crack in the curtain! I could not believe that this was the house in my dream, but everything was as I remembered it.
Those of you who are skeptical will probably think that I had passed this house before and it remained in my subconscious until showing up in the dream, but that's just not possible. The only time I had reason to come down this street (before actually moving here) I went as far as the Mickeys (coming from the other direction) and turned.
So what does this mean? I wish I knew. All I know for sure is that I had an extremely vivid dream in this house before seeing it physically.
I also had a similar experience when Autumn, Aaron and I went ghost hunting. We were checking out an old schoolhouse in or near Holland, TX and when we came around a corner I spied another house I had seen in my dream. I recognized this one from the way the brickwork was laid on the side. Kind of stair-steppy like part of it was missing. That didnt' get me near as bad as that blue house, though.
Well, there's my story. Take from it what you will.

  1. um.... omg creepy!!!
first of all, that dream by itself is just horrifying and then you see the actual house in real life?!?!
did you ever get to know the owners of the house, maybe they got a few people locked up down there?

    1. That was the extra creepy part... by the time we moved out here the house was abandoned. Nobody ever there, no mail, no cars, nothing. It's just been sitting there vacant for... about 12 years now and they just put up a for sale sign. If I wasn't so afraid that there MIGHT be some kind of deranged hermit somehow living in there the whole time I would've broken in to see if the inside matched my dream, too.

    2. Woah, that's so creepy... I'm getting goosebumps! I hope it gets sold and completely renovated because that house looks freakin creepy!

    3. It is pretty rundown and desolate looking. Here's hoping whoever buys it at least puts some fresh paint on it...

  2. Wow!!!! Crazy!! That house is kind of spooky anyway! I often have dreams like that, but not of a tense situation like that. I need to come visit and we can go through the house together. My interest is piqued. My vivid dream of a house is the house is octagon shaped and there is a choir singing in the backyard (like on risers in robes choir) and the next door neighbor throws a shoe over the fence. It's been a recurring dream.

    1. Huh. It is definitely related to your spiritual journey, but I'm having a hard time understanding the significance of the shoe... Do you like shoes? I mean, a lot. lol Or maybe there's something in your heritage that's shoe related? I know for the Irish there's a certain kind of old shoe that's used for good luck and prosperity. Perhaps it's something like that?

I love hearing from you!
