BornPrettyStore XL Squishy Stamper + Scraper

Hello, lovelies! Today I have two very awesome products from Born Pretty Store! I know, it's been a while. Totally worth the wait, though!

The first thing I want to share is the 4cm XL Squishy Stamper:

I love this stamper. I was a bit troubled at first because it was really oily and the stamper head kept popping out of the metal holder, but a bit of acetone and glue and it's perfect. The scraper that came with this stamper is like a gift card only not as stiff. I'll be hanging onto that for later.

Second thing is the Nail Art Stamper & Metal Scraper:

I didn't see any metal scrapers without the stampers, but I figure a backup stamper is never a bad idea. I got this for the scraper, though. It's pretty standard; the handle flexes a bit if you really try, but it's good quality. Also, I haven't noticed a ton of scratches on my plates like I've seen in stamping videos that utilize metal scrapers. Maybe I'm not pressing hard enough for that too happen, but no-scratches is definitely a bonus.

Here is a comparison between the scraper and the size of the stamper head:

Look how big that is! Here's another comparison:

I think I'm in love!! I did just trim my nails down again, but at least now I don't have to A) avoid growing them out so I can do stamping or B) avoid stamping because of my long nails.

For my test drive I used Bundle Monster plate BM-618 which I happened to have sitting out for some reason.

I was a smidge concerned with my first scraping attempt:

Fortunately none of that "extra" transferred onto the stamper:

Look how crisp! This must be what stamping is like for people who are good at it.

Perfect and, dare I say it, fun?! It's not just that the stamper head is big enough to cover my nail, or that the image transferred so perfectly; because the head is squishy it doesn't even matter that my nails are so curvy they're practically dome-shaped. I just press my nail onto the design and that's it! Full transfer all over whereas with the firm stampers even rolling wouldn't always get the image to transfer along the edges.

I played around with a few more plates. Some worked better than others, but eventually I went back to that design and did a full mani:

It was so easy and so quick! If you've ever struggled with stamping I can not recommend the 4cm XL Squishy Stamper enough and $3.59 is an amazing price. Now the only thing I have to worry about is figuring out how to center these images.

Not quite used to stamping actually working, but now that it does I can practice more! For those of you who are interested, I used Models Own Pray for the base and Ulta Chocolate Kiss for the stamping.

If you've ever had problems stamping, or are just starting out, definitely do yourself a favor and pick up the 4cm XL Squishy Stamper. Don't forget to use my code EMX31 for 10% off and don't forget Born Pretty Store always offers free shipping! I'll be back next time with even more stamping and another #SBBNailChallenge post. Y'all take care out there! (^_^)"/"

I've been using a big stamper for little less than a year now and I love it (and now I want to do a stamping manicure too)

  2. That pattern would be awesome done like stained glass. Have you done any of the coloring in of the stamps before stamping?

    1. Naw, I haven't tried that yet. I want to, but it seems really time consuming.... and I'm lazy... so it hasn't happened yet. lol

    1. I was pleasantly surprised. ^_^ I think part of it might be the stamper; I'm having a few polishes (so far) work that I didn't expect to.
