Paddy's Day Mani

Hey, everybody... St Patrick's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. I mean, everything is green! Lately, though, I've read some disturbing things concerning St Patrick and that the "snakes" he drove from Ireland is a metaphor for eradicating the pagan/druid influences there... Which isn't sitting well with me. I know there are "plastic" faces for holidays (Santa for Christmas, the bunny for Easter) and I don't have a problem with St Patrick's Day as an "Irish Pride" day (better not since the in-laws are a good chunk Irish lol), but I'm still processing all of this new information... so I'm glad we're spending this one at home.

Of course none of that stopped me from taking advantage of Zoya's "buy 2 get a free green" promo (so sorry I didn't tell y'all sooner, I just found out yesterday... stupid facebook...) or from rocking an awesome green mani for today!

hehehehe I do love green. Even better, to obtain this look I knocked three (yes, three) untrieds off of the list! Starting with two coats of Catrice Ex Pistols:

OMG I love this color!!! Another big thanks to gin shivers for this one. Two easy coats, it's matte so of course it dried super quickly. The color... man...

Sophisticated without being boring. And it made a nice neutralish base for Julep Mackenzie which (thanks Julep) is more sheer than it ought to be.

GYAH! Still gorgeous! Just look at that green apple green! @_@ This is also two coats. Didn't dry quite as quickly, used the drops and still got a few marks. If you check out my index finger you can catch the shimmer which... *peers* I believe is also green. Holy crap love love love. hehehe Of course this isn't nearly festive enough for holiday nails so I added a touch of Femme Fatale's Keeper Of The Grove.

Topped with a medium-thick layer of topcoat.

So pretty.

Finally back down to under thirty unworns. Not counting polishes that are in the mail, or ones I'm buying Thursday. LOL *ahem* Which, for those of you who may be interested (Amy!) according to facebook people have been getting "steals" online... I don't know if they're the "big" steals or different online ones, but I'm going to try. If it doesn't work I haven't really lost anything. If it does? Oh yes. hehehehe Few things sweeter than half-price polish. Although free polish does top it... Anyway, tomorrow I'll be rocking Seahorsin' Around so yay for that! Even though I think I'm a little stuck in the blue-green-purple section of the color spectrum I'm going to probably do Dillon and Rebel together for Wednesday. Then... probably Illamasqua Seance for Thursday's BL sale. lol It will be a fancy-nails day. Sound good? Sounds good to me. Y'all be safe, take care, and I'll see you tomorrow! (^_^)"/"

    1. lol Glad ya like it. If you remember the China Glaze, let me know! ;) I'm not sure if it would be good for stamping. Last time I tried with a matte polish it dried too quickly... :(
