Julep: Noelle

Hello, everyone, and Welcome to a very exciting (?... sure) episode of Lizzy Behaving Badly. Today's episode is brought to you by a continuing love for Ghouls Rush In, anxiety over the lack of mail and my (at the time) impending trip to the post office to see what's up with that, exhaustion brought on by the anxiety and... the letter D. Ya know, for "dafuq?!". lol

I seriously did not feel like messing with my nails, but I'm determined to get through all of these polishes. So, like a bad girl, I just painted Noelle on top of Ghouls Rush In. The orange ring is a testament to my laziness, but altogether this polish job is a very good reminder for why I have not yet given up on Julep despite their many misses.

Noelle is a gorgeous nude matte. Two coats for opacity, dried very quickly. Anybody remember the non-matte Sinful Colors Flirting Nails? Noelle is exactly what I expected that to be! Julep really came out with a winner this time.

So pretty. One of these days I'll wear it without the totally unnecessary orange undies....

Now, the anxiety. I'm sure you're curious. If not just scroll down to the next line break. lol Little backstory: our crackhead/hooker (yes, seriously) neighbors recently moved out. While here they never seemed 100% sure where they lived. We kept getting their mail with our address and they even tried to have their cable installed to the address on the other side of them. With five people living here we get a lot of mail. Average 10 pieces of mail a day. So when they moved and then we didn't get mail for a few days (since at least Friday) I became concerned. Even more concerned when I checked the Zoya package tracker which said that my pretties were delivered yesterday. So today I put on my big girl panties, went down to the post office and asked "why no mail?". The supervisor tried to get in touch with the carrier, but had no luck. I explained the neighbor situation and she checked the computer. Sure enough they had put in a change of address form, but (to my surprise) it had the proper trailer number. So... that's not the problem. I was pretty relieved and thought for sure my preciouses would be here waiting for me as a reward for my diligence. They were not. It's an hour past the normal mail drop-off time and still no box. Now I'm afraid to check the mailbox because what if there's still nothing in there?! I left my number and she said she'd call if she learned anything... she has not. So now I'm anxious all over again. On the bright side, my dad should be home tonight or tomorrow and I'm confident he can fix (if not fix, replace) the water heater, but... mail. Where's it going? You expect mail to be relatively secure and we get a ton of bills all the time and if they're ending up in someone else's hands... I shudder to think about it. Hopefully it's nothing and the box is stuffed full. I guess I should check... I really don't want to have to go back...

Hope everyone's week is going better than mine. lol I promise to start fresh for tomorrow's mani. I'm thinking more texture. Take care!! (^_^)"/"

    3. when i was waiting on a package it was thru DHL Global (which is different from regular DHL i was informed) it said delivered. But it wasn't!! What it was...was that it was DELIVERED to the post office and then they had to deliver it to me...so maybe that is what happened on your end?

    4. @Norma: *high fives* Did you pick up Sexy In Sequins? I can't remember. I don't wanna swatch it without you if you did. Also *looks around* I'm wearing Stevie for tomorrow. hehehehe

@Sandy: yeah, that's kinda what I gathered from the internets. When that happens it's that it was "delivered" to the final delivery point or some such nonsense. >_> Assholes. lol

    5. OOH ! Can't wait to see Stevie on you! Hope you have better luck than I did :D Nope, I didn't get Sexy In Sequins - you're clear to swatch without me! But I think we both got L'Oreal Pop the Bubbles? That one's gotta be tag teamed! :)

    6. Sweet. ^_^ Yeah, I remembered Pop The Bubbles. I just gotta remember to compare it to Rock Candy... at least I'm not the only person that forgot about that one and grabbed PTB, too. Happened to a few girls in Polish-aholics Anonymous.... LOL

  3. I really like this color! OMG what crazy neighbors! I hope you get your package soon. I'm having issues with my Zoya package too, when I check the status it says schedule delivery date is Jan. 14, but shows my package is still in OH, I live in NC :/

    1. omg How weird! I did get mine. It came in a bubble envelope which I wasn't expecting. Maybe they just haven't properly updated the tracking information? Hope you get yours soon! Like, today! Right now!!! ^_^

    2. I know right! Still have not received it and the tracking info is still the same :/ I did send the USPS an email to see if they could track it down. Hope I hear from them soon.

    3. OMG!!!! *frets* I hope they can track it down for you. I mean... that's the whole reason it has a tracking number, right? :(

  4. That color is sooooo pretty. The neighbor mail story reminds me I need to go across the street to my government scamming neighbors and find out why their fly by night cell phone bill keeps coming to my house. Ugh...I just want normal people to live next to.
