This and That

First the "This"! Back in September I entered a giveaway on fun size beauty (she really is darling, you should check her out) and was surprised to find out that I had won!

So what did I win?

This super cute bracelet from Peach Tree on etsy. She's got a ton of cool stuff on there and as soon as I get the money togther I'm getting this awesome Boho Flower Headband.

Simple and pretty. :)

The "That" is the Garnier argan oil that I finally managed to pick up.

I kind of wish I had just tried this before the Proc!aim stuff. It has this smell to it... not entirely unpleasant, but not exactly pleasant either. And it's noticeable. It says it "absorbs instantly" and I think that's a bit of a stretch, but it does absorb better than the Proc!aim. It's got a ton of extra stuff in it, too, and I think that's making it not work as well. My hair isn't as soft or curly. It is keeping the frizz down, though, so it's not a total loss.

One thing I really like. I just dyed my hair blurple and, if you don't know, it's almost impossible to rinse it all out without seriously rinsing it ALL out. So this morning I used the oil and fully expected to have blue hands after:

Just a bit at the tips and it wiped right off. So overall I'm not entirely impressed, but this argan oil is still a billion times better than the Garnier hair milk smoothing stuff. That did turn my hands colors after dying my hair colors and would leave my hair stiff. I'll share my new hair color soon, but hubby's hungry so we're going to go pick up a late lunch. Y'all take care! (^_^)"/"

  1. love the bracelet, how pretty! I really like that argan oil for when I'm right out of the shower (detangles great for me) I have better results on dry hair with the spray on stuff, tho... :)

    1. Spray on argan oil? Or some other kind of spray? Normally I've been using the oil while my hair is still damp, but I didn't want to risk all the color just sliding off.

  3. I think the Garnier argan oil has a lot of dimethicone/silicone to give it that slippy feeling. It's not as moisturizing as straight oil, that's for sure.

    1. Yeah, I noticed a bunch of chemicals and other nut oils. :/ I think next time I'll spring for the good stuff.
