Julep: Fireworks & Giveaway Winner!

Yay! It's been a whole month, the entries have been tallied and the winner (picked at random by random.org) is:

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Amy Y! Who you may have seen around here as Small Budget Beauty. :) Thanks to all of you who entered. I'll keep my eyes peeled for more (internationally ship-able) fun goodies for a future giveaway. You guys really are the best and I'm so happy to have you all here. *HUGS EVERYBODY*

So I copped out a *tad* today and went with Julep Fireworks. Hey! This is what it's for, right? lol Red, white & blue glittery goodness in case you can't come up with a more complicated nail art idea.

Funny story. I used Camelot as a base and had totally forgotten what happened when I tried to swatch it before. So here is my pitiful link and here is The Nail Buff's far better swatch that she posted on the same day. hehehe *ahem* Fireworks! The glitter distribution was amazing. The formula was a little thick, but just thick enough to really grab onto and spread the glitters around without all kinds of effort. Not too thin, not too thick. Just right. And it dried quick as a glitter ought to do.

Tomorrow I'm doing a textured patriotic mani. I'm sure you can guess which colors I would use, but I'm going to do it anyway. ;) Oh! I did write down everyone's nail art ideas out of the giveaway entries and will attempt to somehow make those a reality. :D Somehow.

So my goals for the next 30 days have altered a bit. I thought that getting on the bike every other day would be okay to at least keep me from gaining any more. I was wrong. Back up to 170.1 lbs. So... *sigh* I'll be doing something (biking or walking, likely) every day and no soda for July. :( See where that takes me. I walked around the yard for 20 minutes and I did have some soda with lunch, but that was before the scale-shock. Oh, water... my old frenemy. This sucks. Going to try and not weigh myself again until the end of the month. I was super neurotic before, but I don't know if that really helped or just made me crazy. Whatever. Let's just get through July and then see if I have to increase my crazy for August or not. lol

Hope everyone had a terrific week. It's a whole new month filled with possibility! Take care of yourselves out there. :D

  4. Thanks for the shout out :) Love the Fireworks polish. Cutting out soda can be so hard, I did that a couple years ago and made it 8 whole months with out soda, then I fell off the wagon so to speak LOL, but I have recently cut them out again. We can do this! :)
